Professor Joyce Wheeler, CTC, RPR

Joyce Wheeler is professor, cofounder, and vice president of Kidron Christian College and Seminary where she also serves on the Board of Regents. In addition,  Joyce is vice president and cofounder of Mended Wings Ministries which was formed with her husband, Dr. Doug Wheeler, in 1995.

She graduated from Florida Theological Seminary in 1995, with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry Management.  She was valedictorian of her graduating class and received the President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

Joyce is a Certified Temperament Counselor and a Professional Clinical Member of the National Christian Counselors Association where she is also a master's degree student and will be graduating soon. Upon completion of her master’s degree, she will pursue a PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling.

She strongly supports biblical teaching from the Hebraic perspective and understands the Jewish roots of Christianity. Her personal ministry focus is on the Fatherhood of God and His love for His children (the Father to the orphan). She also emphasizes strong biblical husband-wife relationships and healing "broken wings."

In 2000, Joyce released an album entitled "Stronger Arms Than Mine," ten original songs which she wrote and performed. Many of these songs were composed as she was undergoing vigorous cancer treatment for lymphoma, where her strong belief that God holds us beneath His wings of love, was forged into a very personal experience of the love of the Father.

A licensed/ordained minister since 1995, Joyce has copastored various churches with her husband and has led music ministry for over two decades. She and her husband currently pastor House of Study in Pocahontas, AR, where she leads music, teaches, and preaches.

Joyce holds an Applied Science Degree in Court Reporting from Professional Court Reporting College in Dallas, Texas, and is employed as a court reporter with the Third Judicial Circuit Court for the State of Arkansas.

Her greatest joy is in serving the Lord and being married to her best friend, Dr. Doug, for more than 26 years.
