Kidron Ministerial Association

and Scholars Forum

If you are looking for a way to connect with a great organization to get licensed and/or ordained without the complications of a denominational hierarchy, then you may want to consider the Kidron Ministerial Association and Scholars Forum. The Kidron Ministerial Association and Scholars Forum is not only a place for license and ordination for graduates of Kidron Christian College and Seminary but is open to those who can demonstrate a call to ministry.

One area of great interest to the professors, faculty and staff of Kidron Christian College and Seminary is to provide an environment for continued learning and fellowship. It is for that reason that Kidron Christian College and Seminary formed the Kidron Ministerial Association and Scholars Forum. Many of our graduates will go on to seek licensing and ordination from various denominations and organizations. Still others will begin independent ministries and churches. In an attempt to better serve our graduates and to create a forum for license and ordination outside mainstream denominations, Kidron Ministerial Association and Scholars Forum will offer this service.

The qualifications for membership in Kidron Ministerial Association and Scholars Forum will be evaluated in several ways:

(1) A student graduating with a minimum of a bachelor's degree from Kidron is qualified to enroll in Kidron Ministerial Association and Scholars Forum. The cost of membership at this level is $100 per year. All bachelor's students graduating are automatically added to the Scholars Forum and allowed to advance through four levels of scholarship. These levels are as follows:

Initiate

Associate

Fellow

Scholar

If a student graduates from Kidron, the cost of both the Ministerial Association and the Scholars Forum is $100 per year.

(2) Those who did not graduate from Kidron but who have obtained an accredited bachelor's degree and have been involved in ministry for three years will be eligible to join the Kidron Ministerial Association and Scholars Forum. The cost to join either the Ministerial Association or the Scholars Forum is $100 per year. For a person choosing to join both, the cost will be $150 per year.

(3) Those who do not have an accredited bachelor's degree from a Christian institution but have been actively involved in vocational ministry for a period of no less than five years with references submitted may be admitted to Kidron Ministerial Association and Scholars Forum at the same cost as listed in #2 above.

(4) Those who carry ministerial credentials and have no desire to become part of Kidron Ministerial Association may join the Scholars Forum at a cost of $100 per year and advance through the levels to become a scholar.

The Scholars Forum and conference will meet the fourth week of May each year. This conference will include graduation for Kidron students, a conference with speakers focusing on Covenant Roots and Hebraic understanding of culture, along with a scholars forum; and papers to be presented in front of a peer review board must be submitted no less than 45 days prior to the forum. Those interested in presenting papers, must contact the administrative office for specification and format of all papers.

The conference will be free, but there is a $50 fee to progress to each level. This fee covers the cost of all certification and regalia materials.
